Reverend Dr. Anna S. Pearson

Jennifer Griesbach

Diana Mias

The Rev. Anna Pearson, D.Min.

Anna grew up outside of Boston, the oldest of four in a family deeply involved in the Episcopal Church. She graduated from Barnard College with a combined major in English and Women's Studies, and went on to earn a Master's in Divinity from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and a Doctorate in Ministry from Hartford Seminary. She has served as Chaplain and Chair of the Theology Department at Kent School in Kent, Connecticut, on staff at St. John's Church in West Hartford, Connecticut, and was called as Rector of Grace Church in 2008.

Anna is especially interested in spiritual courage, tenacity and humor, and she feels blessed to have encountered all of that and more in her work at Grace. Life augmenting prayer and ministry includes extended family, knitting, hiking, and spending time with her spouse Charlie and college-age sons Luke, Thomas and Zachary.

Diana Mias is originally from Astoria, Queens. Diana volunteered in her children’s schools and then became a preschool teacher. Her inherent creativity and love of learning and reading made her a natural at teaching young children. Diana incorporated various craft projects into her class curriculum, understanding the importance of introducing youngsters to the many differing motor skills, while at the same time making learning fun.

Wardens and Vestry

The Vestry at Grace Church is composed of the Rector, two Wardens and nine members of the parish. Vestry terms are staggered so one third is elected every year to serve a three-year term. Wardens are also elected for three years: one year as junior Warden, one year as Senior Warden and one year as Vestry member and Stewardship chair. The Rector looks to the Wardens and Vestry members for support and guidance, and parishioners look to them for leadership. Their effort and commitment bring the parish together to further our common goals.
